A Story of Awareness and Communication
Today, my wife and I were sitting in a restaurant, deeply engaged in conversation. Suddenly, a stranger came over and took a chair from our table without even asking. Instantly, a feeling of anger rose within me – „How rude!“ – and I felt this strong emotion trying to take control.
But then a thought occurred to me: What if I didn’t fight these emotions, but learned to master them? I shared this with my wife and realized I could accept the anger as energy, without letting it overwhelm me.
After our meal, I approached the man and calmly expressed how I felt. I told him I would have appreciated if he had asked first because his actions left me feeling uncomfortable. He apologized. No confrontation, just a moment of understanding.
My wife called it brave. But for me, it wasn’t about bravery or fighting. It was about creating a better world, step by step, where we treat each other with mindfulness and respect.
Sometimes, the greatest strength isn’t suppressing anger but transforming it into conscious energy.
